Can someone give me some good parenting techniques for a child who’s behavior is horrible, and at times you can’t them to a restaurant, and sometimes it’s just plain embarrassing. I don’t want to ignore them, and I believe in a slight spanking but not in public and a lot of times spanking him only makes him more out of control. I really don’t believe in putting him on medicine because I am old fashioned I think the problem needs to be handled with out the help of medicine.

I was talking to a realitive the other day about my son.. and they told me "if you feed the baby cereal before bed, they sleep better"

I’ve heard of the wiskey on the gums of a teething baby …. and of course, If you rub a newborns head, it will go back into shape.

What are some other old parenting techniques… or wives tales you know of?

They are hip and happening, street-smart, sharp, quick witted, peppy and trendy. The credit goes to the modern parenting techniques of upbringing and a "liberal" advent in the field of child psychology. The future looks bright and the past kids look dim-witted in comparison.

Give me a break. There’s always somebody trying to sell something. What did our parents and grandparents ever do?
